This project is designed to test your creativity, to help you gain an insight into the type of work we do and to make sure that you are ready for the Level 3 Film Production course.

Project Brief

Anchor 1

Essex & Suffolk Water want to create a series of 30 second animated adverts featuring the ‘Super Splash Heroes’ as they teach children different ways to save and be sustainable with water.

 

They would like you to create a storyboard for a new ‘Super Splash Heroes’ advert that teaches kids about one of the following water sustainable methods…

  1. Install water saving shower heads and take shorter showers.

  2. Turn off the water when brushing your teeth or washing your face.

  3. Limit use of dishwashers or washing machines.

  4. Shop sustainably

  5. Avoid dumping medicines, chemicals, oils down the drain,

  6. Avoid wasting food to limit agricultural demand. 

PROJECT REQUIREMENT

1 / Format

You can present your storyboard as either a traditional storyboard or a digital storyboard.

2 / Shot Numbers

You must have at least 16 different shots within your storyboard. Of course, you can do more but remember, your advert is only 30 seconds long.

3 / Follow the Rules

You must follow the 8 rules of storyboarding as outlined in the video above.

4 / Include a Pack Shot

Your last shot should include the Essex & Suffolk Water logo and the slogan ‘Saving Water With Super Splash Heroes’. Make sure your last shot is a memorable image.

5 / Use a Template

Your storyboard should be presented using an appropriate template and be easy to follow with simple notes.
